The ACUSD/ACOE Community Newsletter is a weekly communication from the Amador County Unified School District and Amador County Office of Education. The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our families, staff, and community members informed about our district!

No School Monday

Just a friendly reminder that our schools and offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

Have you heard the buzz about The Hive?

The Hive, formerly known as the Student, Staff, and Family Resource Center, is a welcoming space where staff, students, and families can access essential resources, basic-needs support, and guidance to help them overcome challenges and thrive.

ESL Classes Begin Next Week!

Amador Adult Education's English as a Second Language classes begin on Tuesday, September 8th!

No appointment necessary - come to the first day of class to register.

New & returning students are welcome.

Daytime: 9:00 - 11:00 am
Evening: 5:30 - 7:30 pm

Preschool Enrollment Still Open!

Amador State Preschool still has openings for the 2026-2027 school year! 

Students must be 3 or 4 years old by December 1.

We currently have openings at three sites around the county:
  • Plymouth: Plymouth Elementary (8:15 - 11:15 am)
  • Jackson: Argonaut High School (8:15 - 11:15 am)

News From the Community

Farm Tour & Dinner

You are invited to join Farms of Amador & Amador Farmer's Market for the Annual Farm Tour & Dinner! Proceeds to benefit School to Farm Experiences and School Garden Programs.

Date: Sunday, September 13, 2026
Time: Tours at 10 am, 12 pm, and 2 pm; Dinner check-in starts at 4 pm.

Kids Community Bulletin

 

School Board Updates

The next School Board meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 16, at the Amador County Administration Center located at 810 Court St. Jackson, CA 95642. 

ACOE Open Session will begin at 5:30 pm.
ACUSD Open Session will begin at 7:00 pm.

Flag Etiquette at Plymouth Elementary

Today at Plymouth Elementary, Plymouth City Manager Cameron Begbie taught 5th and 6th-grade students flag etiquette.

Students will be responsible for raising, lowering, and folding the flag every day.
