The staff is eager to welcome our students to Independence High School, home of the Panthers, for what promises to be a productive school year for all. I am pleased to announce that I am the new principal for the 2023-2024 school year. I have previously served as the Principal for Toyon Middle School and the Assistant Principal for Calaveras High School.

Independence High School serves as the continuation high school for ACUSD and operates on a quarter system. Our students are able to earn credits at a faster pace than a traditional high school. We tailor our program to individual student goals. Some of our students return to their former high school while others choose to stay at Independence to graduate on time or even early.
