The ACUSD/ACOE Community Newsletter is a weekly communication from the Amador County Unified School District and Amador County Office of Education. The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our families, staff, and community members informed about our district!

District News & Announcements
2025-2026 Intra-District Transfer Window Now Open
The Intra-district transfer application period for the 2025-2026 school year is now open. Applications will be accepted through Friday, December 20, 2024. Please note there are strict timelines for accepting applications, and no application will be accepted after the deadline of December 20th. 

Forms are available to download on our website, or they can be picked up at your school office.

School Board Updates
The next School Board meeting will take place on Wednesday, December 18, at the Amador County Administration Center located at 810 Court St. Jackson, CA 95642. Open Session begins at 6:30 p.m.

Farewell to Two Board Members
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Board President Julia Burns and Board Clerk Jim Whitaker for their service on our school board! This week's board meeting was their last, as their terms as board members have both come to an end.

Jackson Junior Celebrates Veteran's Day 🎉
JJHS held assemblies for 7th and 8th graders to honor Veterans Day, remembering those who sacrificed for our country and showing appreciation for living veterans.

With local generosity, they raised $900 for Disabled American Veterans!

Cemetery Clean-Up Crew 🧹
The Argonaut Latinx Club has begun their Historic Cemetery Clean Up again this year!
These students partner with the City of Jackson and meet once a month to help keep the historic cemetery in good, clean condition. If you're interested in helping out, the next clean-up will be held on Saturday, November 16.
